1. A tool, not a trading service
Prop Journal is a journaling and self-improvement tool designed to help traders log, review, and reflect on their own trades. We are not a broker, a prop firm, an investment advisor, a financial planner, or a signal provider. We do not execute trades, manage funds, or recommend specific securities, contracts, or strategies.
2. No financial advice
Nothing on Prop Journal — including dashboards, statistics, AI recaps, tutorials, playbooks, rankings, affiliate listings, or any user-generated content — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Always do your own research and, when appropriate, consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
3. You are responsible for your trades
Every trade you take is your own decision and your own responsibility. Trading futures, forex, crypto, stocks, options, and CFDs involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose some or all of your capital, fail prop firm challenges, breach funded accounts, and incur fees. Prop Journal is not liable for any trading losses, missed gains, blown accounts, failed challenges, denied payouts, or any other financial outcomes that result from your use of the platform or anything you read, see, or do here.
4. AI features are not a coach
Pro features such as AI Trade Recap and AI Weekly Recap generate automated commentary based on the data you enter. The output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading and should never be treated as advice or a recommendation. Use it as a reflection prompt, not as a decision-maker.
5. Past performance ≠ future results
Statistics, equity curves, win rates, rankings, and any historical data shown in the journal — whether yours or another user's — are not a promise or indicator of future performance. Hypothetical and journaled results have inherent limitations.
6. Third parties, prop firms, and affiliates
Prop Journal may display sponsor banners, affiliate links, and listings for third-party prop firms or services. We are independent from those companies, do not control their offers, rules, drawdown policies, or payouts, and are not responsible for your relationship with them. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
7. Data accuracy
The journal reflects the data you enter. We do not verify trade data, screenshots, P&L, or rankings submitted by users. Errors, omissions, or manipulation by users are not our responsibility.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prop Journal, its owners, employees, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform — including, without limitation, financial losses, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
